BT has bought the company behind the Madasafish, Global Internet and Waitrose ISP brands – a move which brings it 62,000 additional broadband customers.

The £15.8m deal for Brightview Group Limited is subject to approval from Brightview’s shareholders.

Brightview was established in April 2001 and generated revenues of £11.0m in the year ending 30 June 2006. As well as running Madasafish, Global Internet and Waitrose’ ISP offering, Brightview is also working with John Lewis Partnership to launch its new ISP and telephony service under the ‘GreenBee’ brand.
