The BBC has announced it will broadcast BBC One and BBC Two television shows live online from next week.
From November 27, BBC One and BBC Two will join BBC Three, BBC Four, CBBC, CBeebies and BBC News in being simulcast, or being streamed on the internet at the same time as being broadcast. To watch the programme, users must simply log onto the designated channel website from any PC, mobile phone or other internet-enabled device.
Viewers will still need a TV licence to legally watch live TV over the internet. However, concerns have been raised over how this will be policed.
Jana Bennett, Director of BBC Vision said: "Licence fee payers will be able to watch BBC programmes, live, wherever they are in the UK on their computers, mobile phones and other portable devices."
