AOL has unveiled a beta version of its revamped homepage that allows users to check webmail accounts such as Gmail and Hotmail without navigating away from the page.

The new-look homepage also ensures web users can post updates to a number of different social networks including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, as well as see other social-networking content such as friend requests, without having to sign in to each service separately.

"The reinvented homepage offers a convenient, one-stop destination where users can access everything they love on the web within just a few clicks," said Dana Dunne, chief executive of AOL Europe.
