More than 8 out of 10 PC Advisor readers (81.3 percent) believe broadband access is not good enough in this country.

Responding to a PC Advisor poll that asked 'Do you think broadband access is good enough in this country?', 81.3 percent ticked 'No.

"NO," commented forum member Uboat. "I believe more needs investing in ALL areas. Not just the cities that cry out for more speed, but the areas that don't have broadband or a decent connection."

Pineman100 commented: "I live in a rural area, and I probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than of being within BT's much-vaunted 75% of the UK [given access to either fibre or ADSL2+ connections by 2011]. So while city-dwellers zip around the internet on their supercharged dirt-bikes, I (and others like me) will lumber along behind on our carthorses."

Just 13.3 percent answered 'Yes', while 5.4 percent ticked 'Not sure'.
