Yahoo UK launches Answers beta

Talk to real people online

Yahoo UK has launched Yahoo Answers beta, a free service where people can ask questions and get answers from real people on any topic.

Yahoo! Answers beta allows users to ask straightforward questions and receive specific answers. It is available now.

The service will archive and categorise user questions and answers by topic, making that data searchable. Users can keep up with the latest questions and answers on their topics of choice on their My Yahoo page or any other RSS reader.

Salim Mitha, director of Yahoo Search UK said, "We are introducing this service in the UK following the successful launch of the site in the US. At Yahoo, we are huge believers in the power of community, and with the largest global base of web users we are in a unique position to tap into the vast knowledge and experience of individuals to benefit the greater group. Yahoo Answers lets users get their questions answered in a personalised way and share their knowledge with other web users. Simply put, it's better search through people."
