Google Music All Access launches in the UK

Google takes on Spotify Premium with All Access unlimited streaming

Google Music All Access

Google has added its All Access feature to Google Music in Europe and the UK.

Put simply, Google Music All Access gives users unlimited music streaming for a monthly fee. It was launched in the US in May and the move means Google Music will rival services including Spotify Premium, Rdio and Deezer. See also: Use Google Music to listen to your music everywhere.

Paul Joyce, product manager for Google Play Music, said: "With today's launch, Google Play moves one step closer to your ultimate digital entertainment destination, where you can find, enjoy and share your favourite apps, games, books, movies, magazines, TV shows and music on your Android phone or tablet."

Like rival music streaming services, All Access is available to try out for free for a one month trial. The monthly cost is £7.99 per month but this offer is only for a limited time. For those starting a trial after 15 September it will go up to £9.99 per month, matching its rivals.

Feautures of All Access include being able to listen ad-free and the ability to listen to the catalogue alongside your own music library. Google Music offers storage for up to 20,000 of your own songs.

Users can create personalised radio from any song or artist, get unlimited skips and see what track is coming up next. The service will also give recommendations based on individual taste.

Google Music is currently available as an app for smartphones and tablets and can also be accessed via the web.

Apple hasn't launched a rival service yet but iTunes Radio is set to launch this autumn in the US. A UK date hasn't been announced yet.
