Facebook launches Graph Search

Social networking site, Facebook, has launched its recently announced Graph Search feature and will be rolling it out more broadly to everyone who uses Facebook in US English.

Users will see the search box automatically updated.

The rollout follows the introduction of the beta version of Graph Search earlier this year, which is a new way to find people, photos, places and interests on Facebook.

The Graph Search feature suggests potential searches and displays results faster; shows the most relevant results first; understands more ways of asking questions; and is easier to see and use.

As Graph Search rolls out more widely, users will see a notice on their home page with a reminder about how to control what they share and with whom. This follows a similar notice in December that highlighted new privacy tools to help people manage what they share on Facebook.

Facebook said, in a statement, that it is making the feature fully available as a result of the feedback it received from millions of people who tested the beta version.

It also mentioned that it is working on making it easier for people to search and discover topics, including posts and comments, as well as getting Graph Search ready for mobile.
