Electronic invoicing company Tradeshift has joined forces with accountancy software supplier Intuit to offer a joint payments offering.
Tradeshift says it has 150,000 users on its e-invoicing service and that its numbers will increase through a tie-in with Intuit's Quickbooks accountancy software, which is aimed at SMEs and has more than 4 million users.
Tradeshift CEO Christian Lanng said the deal would allow Quickbooks users to "get paid faster via Tradeshift Instant Payments" and "add new functions to their business via Tradeshift Apps".
There would also be benefits for existing Tradeshift users, said Lanng. He said, "At such a scale - and with our commitment to open standards - Tradeshift becomes an even more appealing environment for developers and partners to create and sell Tradeshift Apps, creating an even bigger pipeline of new functions and features for Tradeshift users."
Lanng also promised further announcements around his company's technology. He said, "It's not even the biggest news we'll be announcing in the next couple of months."
