Sky has announced that its Now TV service is available on Roku streaming players.

Simon Creasey, director of Sky Now TV, said: "Following today’s launch on Roku, our customers now have another way of streaming their favourite movies to their main TV screen, while at the same time can continue to enjoy access out and about via iPad and smartphones."

Already available for PC, Mac, Xbox 360, iPhone, iPad and Android, Sky Now TV touts blockbuster films 'at least' 12 months before they arrive on rival services like Netflix and Lovefilm Instant.

Users can pay per film, priced from 99p, or alternatively pay £15 per month for a Monthly Pass to gain unlimited streaming. A current introductory deal offers the service for £8.99 for three months.

Clive Hudson, vice president of Roku Europe, said: "Now TV is a tremendous addition to the growing selection of entertainment available from Roku."
