Remasys account director, David Birch, says if performance and availability of key services fail, the relationship between employees, partners and customers can be affected.
"You only have to look at the public outrage that occurs when a bank's Internet service is down to understand the growing demand for APM tools," he said. "If the bank's downtime is lengthy or outages are frequent, disgruntled customers may shift their loyalty and their money to another institution."
Recognising an opportunity in the channel, Birch says Remasys is now on the hunt for complementary partners "Our value proposition for resellers is the ability to offer businesses a managed, ready-made solution which helps to minimise their downtime and ultimately deliver a better level of customer service," he said. Remasys will use two reseller models, offering a Sales Agency Agreement and the opportunity to be a valued added solution partner. Birch says that resellers will be provided with pre-sale support in order to effectively market Remasys to the APM sector.
"In the past, vendors have either sold traditional tools as APM or built an end-to-end platform from a disparate array of solutions for particular systems such as ERP or CRM," he said. "The result is businesses trying to monitor increasingly complex IT environments with the wrong tools or a cobbled together solution that neither integrates well nor delivers the performance that enterprises demand."
