AGIMO adds ZettaGrid to DCaaS MUL

Australian infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider, ZettaGrid, has been added to the Australian Government Information Management Office's (AGIMO) datacentre-as-a-service (DCaaS) multi use list (MUL) to provide the Australian government Cloud and Cloud-like services.

The company will supply virtual server, virtual datacentre, virtual desktop, hybrid Cloud backup, data recovery (DR) and replication services to government agencies.

"We are proud to be selected for the DCaaS MUL," ZettaGrid general manager, Nicki Pereira, said. "Already, a number of state and federal government agencies are hosted in the ZettaGrid Cloud, and we are expecting further growth as the market for locally hosted Cloud services is maturing."

ZettaGrid was selected following an evidence-based process. According to the company, it is one of Australia's largest pure local IaaS provider, and the only provider with a national datacentre footprint, with seven locations across New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia.

ZettaGrid operators through a 'no contract, pay-as-you-go, instant provisioning' model. Its network resources are provided by its sister company, ZettaNet, with free traffic to all services on its network.
