Steria supports customer cloud deployments with HP

Application lifecycle management now included in contract

IT services firm Groupe Steria has renewed and extended its global enterprise license agreement (ELA) with HP for testing and performance software to help serve its business clients.

The three-year licence extension now includes application lifecycle management (ALM) as part of the HP IT Performance Suite, and will support platform-as-a-service (PaaS) cloud and hosting moves by customers.

The addition of ALM "will ensure the seamless management of applications from planning to retirement", said Steria.

Sean Beesting, Steria Group testing service line director, said: "HP ALM is the perfect match for our industrialisation roadmap and for our RightTesting offering. Combined with the extended access rights, the new features enable us to supply even more effective solutions and services to our clients."

Steria also uses HP Operations Orchestration software to automate tasks and processes using workflows that help its customers execute cloud projects with greater speed, quality and consistency. And HP Operations Manager boosts system reliability by monitoring IT infrastructures and identifying the causes of IT incidents.

Insurance provider Aviva is using development testing software from Coverity to improve the quality of its online services and enhance customer experience. The Aviva effort is being combined with ALM software from HP.
