TalkTalk to offer internet safety masterclasses

Classes will be held to mark Safer Internet Day

TalkTalk will be hosting a number of internet safety masterclasses at its Customer Experience Centre in London.

The classes, which will take place on February 8 to mark Safer Internet Day, will cover everything from how to use social networking sites safely, how to protect yourself from cyberbullying to avoiding online scams and shopping safely online.

The ISP also revealed Brits can bring their laptops along to the session and TalkTalk will scan them for viruses and malware.

The ISP's Customer Experience Centre in Broadwick Street, Soho, was launched in April last year and offers free Wi-Fi to TalkTalk customers as well as the chance to try new online services and discuss any web-related queries with the ISP's 'broadband experts'

Safer Internet Day, which is now in its eighth year, features hundreds of events across 60 countries in a bid to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world.

The masterclasses will take place at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm on February 8. To book a place, call 0800 9555 111.
