Best Buy launches dedicated UK online store

Website also offers advice and chance to upload your own video reviews

US consumer electronic retailer Best Buy has made its online store available to Brits.

As well as offering the ability to purchase gadgets, the online store will offer expertise and advice from the company's in-store team of tech gurus, known as Blueshirts, and opinion and reccomendations from other web users via shopping comparison site Reevoo.

Best Buy is also giving web users the chance to post their own video reviews of gadgets in a bid to earn the chance to become a product tester for Best Buy.

A number of videos offering buying advice for different electronic devices including TVs and digital camera will be made available on the site in the coming weeks.

The retailer is also offering to match the price of any electrical product if a web users finds it cheaper on a number of websites including PC World, Argos and John Lewis, as well as refunding the buyer with 10 percent of the difference.

"With Christmas on the horizon, customers will now be able to shop for the very best and latest products and services available at great prices in a captivating and entertaining environment – just like in all our stores."

Best Buy opened its first UK store in Thurrock, Essex in May this year. A further five stores have been opened in the UK, in locations including Croydon and Derby.
