Be Value package now offers up to 12Mbps

Existing customers must sign new contract to benefit

Be Broadband has revealed it is upgrading the download speed of its Be Value package to 'up to' 12Mbps.

The ISP said customers that have already signed to the package, which currently offers download speeds of up to 8Mbps, can take advantage of the faster deal by signing a new contract with Be. The ISP also said the deal will continue to be priced at £13.79 per month, although users do need to pay line rental either to BT or to Be, as the ISP recently launched a landline service.

"At Be, we know that faster is better, and better speeds translate to better value. And with the recent launch of our landline product, it's a unique offer for those looking for high speeds at a low price, along with Be's award-winning customer service to boot," said product manager Alinna Chung.

Be said customers on the 8Mbps product package with a usage limit of 40GB, or those who joined using the half-price offer at the end of 2009, are currently excluded from the upgrade, and they'll need to sign up for the standard Be Value package in order to take advantage of the upgrade.
