Zen Internet has revealed it will be offering a fibre internet connection with speeds of 'up to' 40Mbps from September.
The packages, which Zen says will have a minimum download speed of 15Mbps, will be available in areas where fibre networks have already been installed and will offer upload speeds of 'up to' 2Mbps or 10Mbps.
"We are in the process of developing these new services which use fibre-optic cabling for part of the network to deliver faster broadband to homes and businesses," Zen said.
"It is important to us that we develop these new services in line with our mission to provide the best ISP service in the UK."
Zen initially trialled the service in conjunction with BT earlier this year. It then extended the trial to its employees and a number of customers.
However, the ISP said the trial is still open to existing Zen subscribers. For more information on taking part in the trial email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address and telephone number.
Zen has yet to reveal pricing for the fibre service, although the ISP said it would be priced at "at a slight premium to current broadband services".
The ISP also revealed it is planning to offer 100Mbps in the future.
