Be Broadband to launch home phone service

ISP wants existing customers to trial landline

UK ISP Be Broadband is planning to launch a home phone service in the UK later this year.

"We have received a lot of demand from our members about offering a landline phone service, and the plans we have announced today are a response to this demand," said Tom Williams, head of Be Broadband.

The ISP revealed it was looking for existing Be customers to trial the new service.

"As with other new products, we will be rolling out a trial to a select number of BE members to make sure that the service will be a viable option to roll out across our entire customer base," added Williams.

Be said pricing and availability details will be released closer to the launch of the new phone service.
