We take a look at Google Showcase - a new range of multimedia tours in Google Earth that feature some of hottest surf and dive spots, important shipwrecks, large underwater mountains and vast canyon systems running along the seafloor.

Google teamed up with the crowdsourced surf atlas WannaSurf.com to create a tour that shows you some of the hottest surf spots in the world.

Your journey starts at this famous spot in Hawaii known as 'The Pipeline', which features fast waves that end in a series of shallow reefs.

Maverick's: surf spots

Located in Northern California, Maverick's is a legendary big wave spot famous for attracting daring surfers in search of the ultimate rush amid huge waves, treacherous rocks and deadly sharks.

Maverick's was featured in the 2004 documentary Riding Giants.
