Acronis has made its online backup service available as a stand-alone product.
Acronis Online Backup was previously available only to those that purachsed the company's True Image 2010 backup software.
The online backup service has also been expanded from 25GB to 250GB of storage space for files, music, video and images. The service is priced at £3.95 per month, or £39.95 for the year.
Acronis says one account can be used to backup content from up to five PCs and the files we be fully encrypted and protected. Users can access the back up from any PC providing it has an internet connection.
"The addition of Acronis Online Backup to our home product portfolio gives our users the widest backup options available on the market today," said Sean Kinney, vice president of Cloud Services at Acronis.
"The powerful combination of online and on-site backup solutions provides Acronis consumers with the ultimate in data protection, knowing that their digital lives are safe and sound at all times."
