UK's most spammed man gets 16m emails a year

Orange pinpointed as target for unsolicited email

The UK's five most spammed email users receive between 3,900 and 44,000 unsolicited emails each day, according to a new survey from ClearMyMail.

The survey also highlighted that three out of the five use Orange as their ISP and, in total, have around 33,612 spam emails blocked every day and 12,268,380 blocked each year.

According to ClearMyMail, Orange customer Colin Wells, a workshop foreman for Stagecoach Buses, is the most spammed Brit and receives more than 44,000 junk emails every day – some 16 million every year.

"It meant spending at least two hours every day selecting junk emails. Taking a week's holiday would have been a complete nightmare but, despite having the UK's most spammed inbox, it doesn't worry me at all," said Wells.
