Online auction site eBay has revealed that it will only consider bids of over $2bn for its VoIP service Skype.
eBay bought Skype in 2005 for $2.6bn but now plans to spin off the business via an initial public offering, and financial analysts value the company at $2bn.
However, eBay chief executive John Donahoe told Reuters this figures was "too low".
"I think it's worth a lot and I think the numbers speak for themselves. There are not many properties that have that kind of growth," he added referencing the fact that Skype now has 400 million users.
