35% of PC users prefer Kaspersky antivirus solutions

Kaspersky: This reflect growing emphasis on IT security

Over a third of PC users in Europe prefer Kaspersky Lab antivirus software over other vendors programmes, says GfK Retail and Technology.

The research firm surveyed customers at retail outlets across the continent between August and October 2008, to discover what the preferred security software brand was.

"The results also reflect the growing emphasis now being placed on IT security issues," said Ralf Tegethoff, regional director of consumer sales in Europe at Kaspersky Lab.
