Flickr adds video uploads for all members

Photo site also offers video timeline facility

Photo-sharing service Flickr is providing all its members with the ability to upload video clips as well as photographs.

Last year, the website gave its Pro members, who pay £17.70 per month, the ability to upload 90-second video clips.

Now Flickr is rolling out the function to all of its members. Anyone with a Flickr account can upload two videos per month as long as they are 90 seconds or less in length and under 150MB. Flickr users can also upload 100MB of digital images.

Pro members also have the ability to upload high-definition video clips, which can be viewed by ever member of the Flickr community.

The Flickr Clock offers a timeline that displays videos in the order they were captured

The website has also created the Flickr Clock. When visiting the Flickr Clock, members are presented with a timeline which displays videos uploaded to the site at the time they were captured. According to Flickr, it's a great way to explore the video content of the site and see what's happening at a specific moment in time.
