BT offers free Wi-Fi in London sports centres

Greenwich, Newham and Waltham Forest get 'Adizones'

BT is offering free Wi-Fi at three new adiZones - outdoor sports centres built in the UK by sports giant Adidas in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.

The floodlit adiZones are located in Greenwich, Newham and Waltham Forest and as well as the BT Opnezone hotspots feature basketball, football and tennis facilities alongside a climbing wall, outdoor gym and an open space area for dance, aerobics, gymnastics and martial arts.

"We're delighted to be providing London communities with free wireless broadband at the adiZones," said Chris Bruce, general manager for BT Openzone.

"BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots will be an important addition to making adiZones valued focal points for the local community," added Nick Craggs, marketing director, Adidas Area North.
