Broadband connection speeds, subscription prices and terms vary hugely - as do customers' experiences. Our annual broadband survey, sponsored by Broadband Genie, lets you have your say about your ISP. PLUS: advice on how to get better-value broadband.
PC Advisor Broadband Survey 2008
Broadband connectivity is one of those touchstone topics about which each and every one of us has both experience and an opinion. Being able to get online and enjoy the richness of the web is an excellent thing - but it's still not something we can take for granted. Even where it is available, the service you get and its features and limitations vary from provider to provider. Little wonder, then, that it's a source of such considerable frustration.
Each year, PC Advisor conducts an in-depth reader survey on broadband. In 2008, more than 4,250 respondents took part and told us, in no uncertain terms, what they like and don't like about their ISP. More than 100 different service providers were appraised, although we've focused our results on the 30 or so for which we had sufficient independent data to draw conclusions.
So, without further ado, let's take a look at the state of the UK consumer broadband market and find out how it's developed over the past 12 months, the issues that have arisen and whether they have been resolved or continue to rile.
And if you responded to our survey and contributed to the UK's most comprehensive broadband report, click here to find out whether you're one of our prize-draw winners.
