MI6 terror suspect photos sold on eBay

Camera held confidential documents & images

Photographs and confidential documents regarding Al-Qaeda terror suspects thought to belong to MI6 have been found on online auction site Ebay.

A buyer of a second-hand Nikon Coolpix digital camera, which was purchased on the site for £17, discovered the photographs and documents as well as fingerprints stored on the camera's memory.

The buyer, a 28-year-old from Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, reported his findings to the police, which initially thought it to be a prank but have since seized the camera.

A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police told The Sun: "We can confirm we seized a camera after a member of the public reported it. Intelligence officers are investigating."
