AOL and Be Broadband launch Firefox toolbars

Access email or log-in to Be's gaming service

AOL and Be Broadband have both released toolbars for Mozilla's Firefox 3.0 web browser.

AOL's Toolbar 5.0 allows users to sign in and check their emails, access the AOL Shopping channel, start new AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) conversations and even search the web with the Google-powered AOL Search, all with just one click. The Toolbar also features an automatic, built-in pop-up blocker.

"Users can instantly access popular AOL products and channels and customise their web experience to fit their needs, said Jonathan Lister, Senior Vice President of operations for AOL Europe.

Meanwhile, Be Broadband has released a Be Mixes Toolbar that's compatible with Firefox. The add-on shows Be Gamers if there are any free slots on the Be Mixes servers and then allows them to log-in to the service immediately.
