Vodafone has hooked up with Facebook to allow its customers to send SMS messages to their friends from the social networking site.
The Vodafone Connect to Friends application is currently only available as a trial but can be used to send text and picture messages to any mobile number. It comes with 25 free text credits that allows users to send SMS and picture messages to their friends from the website.
Once the free credits have been used up more can be purchased from Pay4it, Vodafone's online payment system. Text message credits cost 10p each while picture message credits are priced at 30p.
