BT slashes business broadband prices

Packages discounted by as much as 35%

BT Business is giving firms a helping hand when it comes to beating the recession by slashing prices of its broadband packages.

BT Business Total Broadband Option 1, which offers a 10GB download limit and 50 minutes a month of Wi-Fi time, now costs £15 per month, rather than £19.79. Option 2 is priced at £25 per month, instead of £26.99, and includes an unlimited download limit and 250 Wi-Fi minutes per month.

BT has also reduced the price of its Total Broadband Option 3 package by 35 percent to £30 per month. As well as an unlimited download limit and 500 Wi-Fi minutes per month, it also now includes a mobile broadband dongle with a 1GB cap and 200 Wi-Fi minutes connection at no extra cost.

Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business, said: "Businesses need more than just broadband access; they need a complete service to drive competitive edge. BT Business hasn't just introduced massive savings for small businesses across our broadband packages; at the same time we're giving them more at less cost to ensure they can weather the economic storm".

All three packages benefit from free VoIP calls and 50MB of web space at no extra charge. Purchasers of Option 2 and 3 can also get their hands on 'Openzone via the Business Hub', which ensures businesses can turn their premises into Openzone Hotspots. Firms also have the ability to purchase vouchers to sell to their own customers or visitors to allow them to make use of the Wi-Fi connection. This creates another source of revenue for businesses.

BT is also offering businesses the chance to combine their broadband package with their fixed line and mobile telephone services. Those taking up the BT Business One Plan Plus will be entitled to three months free line rental on their mobile package, unlimited calls within their business and a five percent discount on their total bill when they hit their pre-registered spending levels.
