Robert Boyd of Breath of Death VII/Cthulhu Saves the World developer Zeboyd Games has been very pleasantly surprised with the huge success of his games since their release on Steam. While Steam's publisher agreements prevent him from disclosing specific sales figures, he claims that in less than a week on the service the two games have already brought in more revenue than a year and a half on the Xbox Live Indie Games service.

"Our reception on the PC is making an excellent case for us to make PC our lead platform in future," said Boyd on Twitter. "XBox Live Indie Games was a great learning experience and got our foot in the door, so to speak. I don't know that we need it any more though. If we continue to support XBLIG in the future, it will be almost entirely for the sake of our fans. XBLIG is kind of like a free platform since we're using XNA, but not entirely. For example, testing and fixing bugs is noticeably more work with two platforms to take into consideration. And it's easier to make a good UI if you only have to worry about one platform."
