With Deus Ex having been on the market for about two weeks now, the time is ripe for rumors about the first DLC to start emerging. And sure enough, here it is.

Square Enix has revealed that the first batch of DLC will be titled "The Missing Link," and will fill in some of the gaps left by the main story. Specifically, what happened during a mysterious three-day time gap.

From the sound of it, the Missing Link will be pretty ambitious. There will "new, large environments" and new characters; and while this is just conjecture on our part, probably new weapons as well.

And according to some early links (via Joystiq), that's in addition to Jensen having to make do without all of his augmentations. Sounds like we're in for something a bit different than the main game.

The Missing Link is due in October. Expect more info soon.
