£39.99 for the first PS3 titles

Sony has announced pricing details for the first PlayStation 3 (PS3) games, three weeks ahead of the console's 23 March launch.

Over 30 games will be available for the PS3 on release day, including five games on disc - including Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man - which will be priced at £39.99.

Games such as BlastFactor, Super Rub a Dub and classic brands such as Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection will also be available to download from the PlayStation Network. These will be made available for an introductory period, priced between €2.99 (£2) and €9.99 (£6.72).

Game items, such as tracks for Sony’s SingStar, and premium video content will also be available from the PlayStation Network for as little as €0.99 (£0.66).
