Nintendo Releasing Mario & Sonic Edition Blue Wii in UK

Although the newest configuration of the Nintendo Wii lacks backwards compatibility and Wi-fi support, the Big N is still promoting the popular Mario & Sonic Olympics series with a brand new holiday bundle.

As Siliconera reports, the entire package comes with the aforementioned blue Wii, a blue Wii Remote Plus, a blue Nunchuk, the actual game itself (of course), and a sticker sheet -- which is a pretty lame promotional bonus, considering everything you get with the awesome collector's edition.

Right now, the bundle is exclusive to the UK market, although My Nintendo News suggests that plenty more colors will be coming our way before the year's out. Considering how much Wii sales have dropped recently, such a move is just a reminder that the Wii is on its way out. However, we still don't know when the Wii U will be debuting.
