Want to beta-test a new Dreamcast game?

Sega fans get to test-drive new 2D shooter

Germany-based Redspotgames is looking for beta testers. But this isn't your average run of the mill "preorder our game and play the multiplayer mode early" beta. This is a chance to play a genuine rarity -- a new Dreamcast game.

Sturmwind, a region free Dreamcast based 2D shooter featuring 16 levels, 20 bosses, 640x480 graphics (older gamers will remember when that used to be considered "high resolution"), online leaderboards and a trophy system with unlockable content, is set to release on 11-11-11. You can preorder it here.

The simple existence of a new shmup for Dreamcast is pretty exciting in itself, but Redspotgames is offering five lucky shooter fans the opportunity to play the game early and provide feedback in exchange for getting their name in the credits and a free copy of the finished product. You'll need to be able to commit to playing for 2-4 hours a day and provide regular feedback.

If you're interested in taking part in the beta program, get in touch with Redspotgames via its contact form.
