Monkey Island Special Edition Collection Launches in the UK

Look behind you! A three-headed monkey! Oh wait, it's just a double pack of both Monkey Island Special Edition games, complete with their full voiceovers, hint systems and remastered musical scores.

Yes, from today, the two formerly download-only Monkey Island Special Edition games have been collected together into one physical product for Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC. The bundle also includes new bonus content exclusive to the new release, featuring expanded, remastered soundtracks; concept art; storyboards and concept art for a canned Monkey Island movie by Industrial Light & Magic; and avatar gear for Xbox and PSN.

Unfortunately, it's only available to players in the UK at this time, as LucasArts and distributor Activision are using the pack as an experiment to see if there's a market for bundles like this.

"We're always interested in making sure our products reach the widest possible audience, so we'll see how it's received in Europe and base our future decisions from there," a spokesperson from LucasArts told us back in July when the bundle was first announced.

The standard price for the bundle is £20, but Amazon.co.uk is offering it for 25% off right now.
