Zelda's 25th Celebrated with Symphony Concert Tour

Nintendo games have some of the most iconic soundtracks in all of gaming, and The Legend of Zelda represents some of composer Koji Kondo's finest work. Since Zelda is turning 25 this year, Nintendo has decided to celebrate the series through its music. A series of symphonic concerts will kick off in Los Angeles on October 21 and follow a full tour in 2012.

The performances will include a 70-piece orchestra and a full choir. They're being produced by Jason Michael Paul Productions, Inc., the company behind PLAY! A Video Game Symphony.

"The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert Tour brings one of the video game industry's most exciting and enduring franchises to the concert hall and presents what we feel is the definitive concert experience for the series," said Jason Michael Paul, executive producer for the shows. "It's an event that fans and music aficionados won't want to miss."

The first concert will be taking place at the Pantages Theatre and will include a selection of music chosen by Kondo and his team. Tickets start from $35 and will be available from August 1 via TicketMaster.
