Xbox owners have been enjoying the Black Ops Annihilation map pack for about a month now, but Activision has confirmed via the PlayStation Blog that from July 28, PS3 owners of the game will be able to get in on the action.
If you haven't been paying attention, here's the details: Annihilation features four new multiplayer arenas, including a drive-in movie theater, a Cuban golf course, a missile silo and an Area 51-inspired hangar. It also features a new Zombie level based around the legend of Shangri-La. Zombies have taken over an ancient shrine, and Treyarch's online director Dan Bunting claims it's "one of the more creative and clever map designs" that the developer has come up with so far.
Activision hasn't yet confirmed the PSN price for the map pack, but Dan "@OneOfSwords" Amrich believes it'll be in line with previous map packs, putting it again at the $15 mark.
No date for the PC version yet.
