E3: Ridge Racer for PlayStation Vita

PlayStation Vita looks set to have a wide range of great-looking games available for it, and Namco Bandai has just thrown its hat into the ring, too, by announcing a new version of Ridge Racer. The company hasn't told us much about the game, yet, save that we can expect "high-speed drifting at break-neck speeds in high-performance racing machines with new exciting new gameplay additions." [sic]

The new game is developed as a collaborative effort between Namco Bandai and Cellius -- a joint venture founded between Namco Bandai and Sony Computer Entertainment Japa back in 2007. Game director Hideo Teramoto previously worked on Ridge Racer for PSP and Ridge Racer 7 on PSP.

Ridge Racer for PlayStation Vita is currently a very literal working title. Watch out for more news on the new game soon via Namco Bandai's Facebook page and official website.
