E3: Rayman Origins is Gorgeous

Ubisoft opened its press conference with some extensive gameplay footage from Rayman Origins, which features some of the best 2D animation you've seen for a long time, along with some unashamedly old-school platforming and four player cooperative play.

The game also pays tribute to other gaming classics, with a Tetris-themed level on display -- complete with the iconic Russian music.

Ubi didn't reveal a release date for the new game, but it's definitely one to watch -- particularly those who miss Rayman ever since he fell in with those Rabbids.
