Assassin's Creed Social Marketing

The Assassin's Creed Facebook page has kicked off a new marketing effort to start building excitement for the next game in the series. Enough "Likes" and shares on Facebook will unlock a "reveal" trailer for the new game.

The trailer is being unlocked in several stages, and the first has already been completed, allowing fans of the Facebook page to see a blurry, distorted image that doesn't show much.

The activity monitor for the current stage of the reveal is at 7% at the time of writing, so there's a way to go yet. Ubisoft is apparently monitoring the #ACReveal hashtag to watch people sharing the link to the page around the social web, but they also recommend that any sharing should be done via the app on the Facebook page itself.

So, you want to find out more? Time to get social.
