Bangai-O HD Hits XBLA May 5

The aptly-named Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury, the follow-up to Bangai-O Spirits on Nintendo DS, has been slated for a May 4 release on Xbox Live Arcade.

This latest Bangai-O game is based more on the DS game than the wacky Dreamcast/N64 originals, so there's less of a crazy story and more of a focus on intricate levels where you take your giant robot Bangai-O through a gauntlet of enemies and their projectiles. But even your Bangai-O robot is tiny compared to some of the planet-sized enemies and other obstacles you'll come across. Luckily you'll have plenty of different weapons to defend yourself with, and hopefully last more than a few seconds in each stage.

Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
