Sega games console comes with motion controller

Sega Zone will feature 50 built-in games

Sega is thought to be attempting to rival Nintendo's Wii by putting its name to a games console that features a motion sensor control.

The mini console, which is expected to cost around £50, is a re-branded version of the Zone 40 wireless gaming console.

The new version will be known as the Sega Zone and will feature 50 built-in games - a combination of classic Sega titles including Golden Axe, Sonic and Knuckles and Ecco the dolphin, which Sega has sold the right to, along with brand new games, 16 of which will use the motion controller.

However, its unlikely you'll be able to add your own games to the 50 built-in games.

The console, which will come with two motion controllers, is expected to be available in the UK in the summer.
