BioShock 2 release plans revealed

Take-Two plans Q3 release

The follow-up to the critically acclaimed BioShock first-time shooter will launch in Q3, Take-Two Interactive has revealed.

BioShock 2 is being developed by 2K Marin, said the publisher, as opposed to Ken Levine's 2K Boston, which received top honours for the storytelling and immersion chops of the first game.

While adding no further details, Take-Two said the shooter is planned for release for release in its fiscal fourth quarter, which means sometime between June and September.

Outside of timing, the announcement comes as no surprise. BioShock has sold over 2 million units worldwide on Xbox 360 and PC since its launch last August.
