WiiWare, the Nintendo Wii console's answer to Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Store, will launch in the next two to three months, according to the Netherlands-based Wii developer Engine Software.
Engine predicted the launch date of Wii's original download service yesterday, while announcing its first WiiWare game, reports Shack News.
Project Bang!, as it's currently known, is described as "a casual game type with very addictive gameplay" for one or two players using the Wii Remote.
Engine Software's previous work includes High Scool Musical: Livin' The Dream for the Nintendo GBA, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Circle of Spies on Nintendo DS and contributory work on the DS version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.
Nintendo previously said WiiWare would launch in "early 2008". The company offered no comment when pressed by Shack News for further confirmation.
