Free Sega games available online

Mario and Sonic titles now on Play Sega

Games developer Sega has launched a free gaming website. Play Sega offers new flash-based games as well as 'classic' titles such as Brain Assist - which first appeared on the Nintendo DS - and Mario And Sonic At The Olympic Games, which is available for mobile phones.

Users can also create their own avatars in the style similar to the Nintendo Wii. Sega also confirmed plans to launch a VIP section on the site that allows users to play classic Sega MegaDrive games for a fee.

Nintendo Wii review

"What started off as a small project within the Sega Network Group has now caught the imagination of the entire company," said Nick Pili, Sega Europe's network business director.

"Sega fans and new gamers alike can now come together in one place and enjoy some of our most exciting vintage and new titles."
