As Christmas gets ever closer so stocks are running low on this year’s most-wanted products.

Tech gifts are a major factor this festive season, and two tablets for children are in such demand that stock for one tablet has run dry.

Leapfrog’s LeapPad Explorer children’s tablet is currently unavailable, but Leapfrog tells PC Advisor that “stock will be replenished in the run up to Christmas”.

LeapFrog will be supplying stockists who have placed orders as priority, and will be providing stock at various points up until Christmas to help fulfill demand.

The company says that it will be bringing in new stock regularly and will be dividing this between retailers.

It suggests that parents check with their local stores if and when they receive new stock.

Leapfrog is also advising parents to consider its Leapster Explorer, which is based on the same technology and uses the same software as LeapPad.

Stocks are also running low on VTech’s competing InnoTab children’s tablet, but stockists such as Toys R Us are still showing some availability. It is available from third-party Amazon sellers but at much higher than RRP costs.
