Asus has unveiled its Transformer Book Trio at Computex 2013. The firm is calling the device, which runs Windows 8 and Android, a cross between a PC, laptop and tablet.

The Transformer Book Trio is described by Asus as 'the world’s first three-in-one mobile device' providing 'unparalleled flexibility in work, play, and social activity'. See also: Asus Fonepad review.

"Transformer Book Trio transforms mobile flexibility by switching effortlessly between a Windows 8 notebook, Android tablet and Windows 8 desktop PC." said Asus.

The Asus Transformer Book Trio has a detachable 11.6in Full HD (1920x1080) IPS screen and is powered by a 2GHz Intel Atom processor. It has up to 64GB of flash storage on board.

Its PC Station Dock has a fourth generation, Haswell Core i7 from Intel and a 750GB hard drive.
Despite running Windows 8 and Android, users can sync data or, for example, keep browsing the same webpage when moving from notebook to tablet mode. A hot key allows users to switch between the two operating systems easily.

Asus has also announced a plethora of other devices at Computex as part of its 'We Transform' event, including the new Transformer Pad Infinity which is the world's first Nvidia Tegra 4 tablet.

There's also the Memo Pad HD 7, a budget tablet, and the Fonepad Note FHD 6, a Full HD phablet.
Furthermore, Asus introduced the VivoPC, VivoMouse and RT-AC68U Wireless Router.

There's no pricing information for the Asus Transformer Book Trio yet. The device is expected to launch in Q3 this year.
