Vodafone unveils 3G iPad plans

Tariff doesn't include Wi-Fi, unlike Orange and O2

Vodafone has joined O2 and Orange in announcing the availability of 3G data plans for Apple iPad owners.

Vodafone customers can chose from two monthly data plans which are capped at 1GB and 5GB and cost £10 and £25 respectively.

Unlike O2 and Orange's offerings, there is no Wi-Fi access included in the plans.

Vodafone said the data plans run for 30 days and as users are not tied into a contract they can cancel at any time.

"Our 3G price plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G offer customers great value on the UK's best network." said Guy Laurence, CEO, Vodafone UK.

"We're giving customers the power to make the most of iPad when they want, whether they're on the move, at home or abroad," added Laurence commenting on Vodafone's roaming offering that allows to use a 3G connection abroad for £9.99 per day with a cap of 50MB.
