According to the web metrics firm, Apple's smartphone accounted for 1.75 percent of all product searches and 14 percent of all mobile phone searches in November this year.
Hitwise also revealed that UK internet visits to consumer electronics retailers surged by 16.5 percent between October and November this year, as Brits began their Christmas shopping.
"UK internet visits to consumer electronics retail websites always increase in the run-up to Christmas and this year they peaked during the week ending December 5th - a week closer to Christmas than compared to the last couple of years," commented Robin Goad, research director at Experian Hitwise.
