Raspberry Pi creator to offer career advice to IT jobseekers

Raspberry Pi co-creator Eben Upton will provide career advice to a select group of IT jobseeker hopefuls next month.

Raspberry Pi co-creator Eben Upton will provide career advice to a select group of IT jobseeker hopefuls next month.

IT jobseekers are being asked to submit their career questions for Eben through Twitter and the newly launched CWJobs Google+ page, for a chance to join the IT expert in a Google+ Hangout on 23 November and have their questions answered.

Upton is also co-founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a charity founded in 2009 to promote the study of basic computer science in schools.

Upton said, "Those trying to enter or progress in the IT industry now still need support to ensure they can develop their career and gain the skills needed to deliver the achievements that will make the UK IT industry a world leader."

The attendees for the exclusive audience with Eben will be selected on 9 November. Those entering a question but not selected to join the hangout will still be able to watch the event live on 23 November.

Earlier this month it was announced that the Raspberry Pi would not only be designed in the UK but also manufactured in the UK too.
